Have you ever felt deep gut instincts about something before? You know those feelings I’m talking about, right? Those ones that come from deep within our gut and we can’t put our finger on why we are having them. Those gut feelings are directly linked to our intuition about something. I definitely have felt these intuitions about a range of things: finding a new job, ending a relationship, moving to a new country. I’m not exactly sure where those urges come from but when I had deep gut feelings that wouldn’t go away, I just had to find a way to appease those feelings. What I do know is this – the moment I fully devoted myself to moving towards (or away from) a goal that my gut feelings were giving me signals about I would have so many new doors open up for me. That’s why the older I get the more I think those feelings we get are some sort of cosmic bells that point us in the direction of finding happiness and finding our purpose in life.
In my case, all these deep gut feelings originally were about traveling. When I was in my late teens and early twenties that was the only thing I really wanted to do. It wasn’t an easy road to find a life full of travel; actually I faced many challenges, especially because the life I wanted was totally unconventional. But, I felt the urge to travel so deeply in my heart that I just knew I had to keep trying, so by my mid-twenties I completely devoted myself into finding a way to explore the world.
That was the first time in my life I 100% threw myself into a situation and wouldn’t let anything stop me. Periodically I would get a little smile from the universe–like finding a 5 leaf clover–that would nudge me further down the path towards reaching my goal of traveling and you know what happened? Eventually I did.
I travelled the whole world visiting every continent (except Antarctica but that is definitely still on my list!), and now I’m living abroad in Germany. This is the first time in my life I can honestly tell you that I feel balanced and that I’m headed in the right direction. It took me quite a few years to reach here, so if you’re struggling to make things work, don’t give up!
Now, here’s the thing. I’m not sharing my story with you to make me sound like some travel snob or some entitled girl that was able to fulfill part of my deepest desires. I’m writing this because I want you to find your bliss as well. That’s all I want, is to help people to awaken to their dreams. I’m here to help guide you, remain as a positive force, and show you the way to the light. I just want you to be aware and know that from the beginning. I want you to follow your gut feelings towards reaching your goals and dreams. Following your gut feelings can come in all sorts of directions: taking a leap of careers, starting a new hobby, moving to a new country, ending your current relationship. Take some time and think about it, I’m positive you are getting little signs that are trying to push you in one direction or another. Just be patient and tune into yourself and listen for them. If you ever need help, please connect with me. I’d be happy to help you figure things out!
If you are currently content and balanced in your life, then I am truly grateful that you’ve found that peace in your life. But if you’ve got something deep inside your heart and gut that just won’t go away, why don’t you start to take a small step towards that goal? You know, I’m really the last person that likes to jump out of my comfort zone. It makes me feel scared and most of the times super insecure. But, in the past six years I really had to jump head first, without knowing what I was jumping into and you know what I found? That I grew exponentially as a person which helped me to move further down my path of finding happiness in my life and fulfilment and everything I do.
Every single one of us has a purpose on this Earth. I’m sure of that. So if you currently are struggling to find your purpose in life, don’t give up!
